Editing assistant for Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve
Editfabric takes on everything an assistant editor does: it listens to and watches the footage, builds the first cut to your note, and prepares cameras, audio, color and subtitles. The result opens in your project as a new sequence; every cut stays editable and the last word is yours.

Who it's for
News crews, documentary and interview programs, podcasts and social media teams. Pick the type and the edit follows its rules; if none fits, save your own.
What it does
The Editfabric Director Engine reads the whole conversation, picks the strongest lines and fits them to your target length.
The angle goes to the speaker. Cuts land on a breath, never mid-word. From 1 to 8 cameras.
Brings speech into the broadcast range or your web loudness target, with your editor's own tools.
One look across all cameras, skin tones protected. Written to Lumetri in Premiere, to a colour version in Resolve.
Finds “um”, “uh”, stutters and long pauses, cuts them and marks every cut on the timeline.
Turns speech into a caption track, in sync word by word.
Turns the strongest moments into 9:16 and keeps the frame on the speaker's face.
Cuts a 15–60 second promo from the most intriguing lines.

Before and after the edit
Editfabric Go works inside Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve; Editfabric Library runs next to them. Same installer, one account.
The editing assistant: first cut, cameras, audio, color, subtitles, and the delivery work after it.
Loudness, black frames, offline media checked before every export.
Every music cue with in point and duration, as Excel.
Ten subtitle styles plus your own, with opacity, previewed on your own frame. Lower-third templates for names and titles.
A one-page PDF of every edit: length, cameras, audio, colour, notes. Ready for the client.
Before and after the edit: Collect, cards, proxies, reports, search.
Only the used parts plus handles, H.265 or ProRes; timecode and keyframes in place, opens frame-exact years later.
Verified copy to two drives, proxies and transcripts on their own.
Every save of your Premiere project goes to your Editfabric account. Drive died? Download the last versions. Footage is never uploaded.
Find any line, shot or person across everything you've cut.
The editor has the final say
16:9, 9:16, 25p, 50p… whatever your sequence is. No setting is imposed.
The edit opens as a new sequence; each quick tool ends with one-click undo.
The audio and vision engines run locally; your footage never leaves your computer.
Analysis runs on a light copy; the timeline always links to the original recording.
